Family Constellations

As we step away from the hustling rhythm of the city into this space of peace, we begin to see the intertwined relationship between family and lived experiences. As we gather at the grass field and beneath the big tree at Luk Heung Commons, we will hold space in a safe, non-judgemental setting, using family systems thinking, to explore fundamental themes at the intersection of family dynamics. We often find ourselves feeling lost or frustrated in these experiences, which in fact may stem from a deeper connection to our family systems and lived histories.

Family Constellations is a method developed by German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger. Through spatial representation and observation, it offers an opportunity to notice relational dynamics and emotional connections within family systems that are not always visible. When previously overlooked or unacknowledged elements are gradually understood, the system may begin to move towards a more balanced state.

This workshop will be conducted in an experiential group format within a gentle, safe, and respectful environment, allowing participants to explore life themes related to family and relationships, such as intimacy, connections with parents, family roles, and recurring patterns in life. Participants are not required to share personal stories or prepare specific questions in advance. Through observing and participating in others’ constellations, many may find new perspectives on their own lives and relationships.
