Discover Tai Po — Printmaking Workshop
Herons standing still, fishermen casting lines, people walking their dogs. These everyday scenes capture the quiet rhythm of life in Tai Po. Since becoming a resident, artist/facilitator Au Wah Yan has often been drawn to the landscapes along one’s way home. In this two-session printmaking workshop, participants will begin with a guided walk through Tai Po and explore the Lam Tsuen River area, observe their surroundings anew, and document familiar everyday scenes through sketching. The second session will take place at Luk Heung Commons, where participants will learn and experiment with relief printmaking techniques to create their own community-inspired prints. The workshop will also introduce different printmaking methods, offering a hands-on experience of texture, process, and discovery, while deepening understanding of this printmaking method.
