Co-creating Interactive Moving Wall Installation

We live in a city with abundant resources, but beautiful materials are often neglected every day. Wind moving wall made out of more than 1000 aluminium cans, collected from Luk Heung and neighbouring communities, cleaned and sorted into sparkling colours, reacting to the slightest air movement when anyone passes by. With the goal to inspire one's lifestyle of mindful consumption and the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. At Luk Heung Commons, we have invited upcycling designer Kevin Cheung as our Artist-in-Community to lead a transformative experiment. This 10-meter-long "Interactive Moving Wall Installation" is crafted from over a thousand aluminium cans collected, cleaned, and sorted by the Tai Po community. From processing raw materials to the final assembly, every step embodies the power of co-creation; it is a process of turning neglected materials into vibrant community assets through collective participation.

We invite Tai Po neighbours and friends to join this hands-on journey. Together, let’s bring this collective masterpiece to life at Luk Heung Commons by the end of this year!
